Chinese Drug Dealers Use Risqué Ads to Sell Narcotics, Fentanyl Ingredients on U.S. Social Media

Accounts claiming to represent Chinese drug manufacturers are using provocative images of women to advertise narcotics and fentanyl precursors on U.S. social media, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of hundreds of English and Chinese-language social media posts.

The DCNF identified several dozen LinkedIn accounts claiming to be saleswomen representing China-based manufacturers primarily located near Beijing or Wuhan. The accounts often featured images of women and teenage girls in advertisements for a wide variety of controlled substances including 4-piperidone, which is used to manufacture fentanyl.

Arizona State Troopers Seize over 260 Pounds of Fentanyl in Just One Week

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) reported on Monday that troopers seized more than 260 pounds of fentanyl pills in just four traffic stops in a one week period.

Troopers seized 262.02 pounds of fentanyl pills between November 7 and November 14, the agency revealed in a press release. Eight suspects were arrested as a result of the seizures.

Mexican Resident Caught in Possession of over 1 Million Fentanyl Pills to Sell in Arizona

The Arizona District of the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday that Mexican resident Juan Alfonso Torres-Rodriguez, 27, has been charged with possessing over one million fentanyl pills with an intent to sell them in the state.

According to the DOJ’s report, officials witnessed Torres-Rodriguez participating in a drug transaction in early March. From there, authorities searched his residency and vehicle to discover approximately 108 kilograms of fentanyl.
