Former Trump National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien Weighs In on Arizona Congressional Race, Backs Juan Ciscomani

Former Trump National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien endorsed Juan Ciscomani, who is running to represent Arizona’s 6th Congressional District in the House of Representatives.

O’Brien, who has voiced support for numerous candidates in the state and across the country, cited Ciscomani’s record on tackling the ongoing border crisis under President Joe Biden.

“I am proud to endorse Juan Ciscomani for Arizona’s 6th Congressional District,” said O’Brien. “We need a strong, proven fighter to lead the efforts in Congress to secure our southern border. Juan is that fighter who will prioritize our nation’s security. Juan is the only candidate that understands the policies and resources needed to stop the flow of drugs and human trafficking coming across our border. In addition, Juan’s work and experience with our international allies makes him primed to push back against China and other global threats. I’m proud to endorse Juan, and know he will help us take back the U.S. House in 2022.”

Ciscomani is running against other Republicans in the GOP primary in order to secure the party’s nomination to advance to the general election in November. Lucretia Free, Brandon Martin, Young Mayberry, and Kathleen Winn are also running in the contest.

However, Ciscomani has picked up the endorsement of several prominent Republicans: House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, House Republican Whip Steve Scalise, and House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik.

“It is an honor to receive Ambassador (ret.) O’Brien’s endorsement,” said Ciscomani. “He understands firsthand the challenges our nation faces today. His work within the Trump Administration demonstrated strength on the world stage that we must regain. When in Congress, I will fight for America’s best interests, pushing back against China’s agenda, and prioritizing our southern border.”

In addition to Ciscomani, O’Brien backed Blake Masters in the state’s U.S. Senate race.
