Commentary: The Case for Impeaching Joe Biden

When I defended former President Trump against a Democratic effort to impeach and remove him on grounds that I believe are unconstitutional, I predicted that when the Republicans gained control of the House, they would use that precedent as a justification for trying to impeach the next Democratic president.

Sure enough, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has introduced articles of impeachment that replicated what the Democrats had done just three and a half years earlier.

House Administration Chair Warns Hyperpolitical DAs: Weaponize the Law, Lose Federal Funding

Amid the Manhattan district attorney’s reported planning to arrest former President Trump next week under a novel legal interpretation of a state law against falsifying business records, Chairman of the House Administration Committee Bryan Steil (R-Wisc.) issued a blunt warning Monday to hyperpolitical big city district attorneys: Any federal funding their offices receive may be at risk if they are abusing their prosecutorial power to settle political scores rather than fight violent crime.

“Often the federal government is funding and providing resources to prosecutors across the United States,” Steil told the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “The purpose of that is to make our cities safer. If we find out through this investigation that instead those are being used to weaponize DAs across the country with a purpose of grinding a political ax rather than making our communities safer, we’re gonna have to go back into the funding model.”

AmericaFest 2022 Day Three: Lauren Boebert, Michael Knowles, and Candace Owens

The fast growing organization for young conservatives, Turning Point USA, is holding its annual AmericaFest in Phoenix currently, and the third day featured a long list of who’s who in right-leaning politics. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO-03), Daily Wire contributor Michael Knowles, and commentator Candace Owens gave some fiery speeches encouraging conservatives to stand up and not back down when dealing with the left. Christopher Tremoglie, a contributor to the Washington Examiner who serves on TPUSA’s Faith division, shared with The Arizona Sun Times what it’s like being a part of that new division.

Boebert, well-known for her outspokenness, told the audience that “conservative talking points aren’t enough;” instead of being on the defensive, it’s necessary to go on an offensive against the left. She also denounced RINOs in the Republican Party, calling out Sen. Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for capitulating to the Democrats on massive spending bills, “allowing Nancy Pelosi’s dead hand to continue ruling for a year.” She declared, “Don’t worry y’all, I’m a professional RINO hunter.”

Commentary: A Country Without Pity

A country without pity has lost its soul.

Sadly, that is the state of America in 2022. On the eve of the two-year anniversary—which is too celebratory a word to describe its aftermath—of useless, destructive lockdowns sold as a way to stop the spread of COVID-19, our country has been exposed as a place overpopulated with pitiless citizens gratified by the suffering of others. The common bonds that tether friendships and fellowship are in tatters, shredded by the nihilism of the ruling class, egged on by a mendacious corporate media, and amplified on ill-named “social” media platforms.
