Congressman Madison Cawthorn Endorses Arizona GOP Senate Candidate Blake Masters

Congressman Madison Cawthorn (R-NC-11) on Friday endorsed Blake Masters, who is running in the Republican primary to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate.

Cawthorn, while highlighting the viewpoints of Masters, slammed other election officials, saying the “days of America Last politicians are over.”

“Blake Masters is the America First warrior we need in Washington. He will not back down from defending our southern border, fighting for election integrity, and championing President Trump’s MAGA agenda in the United States Senate. The days of America Last politicians are over; Arizonans are ready for true leadership representing their interests in Washington. I’m proud to endorse Blake Masters for Senate. Send him to Washington so we can both fight the radical left and restore American greatness,” Cawthorn said in a statement released by the Masters campaign.

The first-time candidate has received multiple endorsements from allies of former President Donald Trump. For example, Congressman Jim Banks (R-IN-03) and former national security advisor Robert O’Brien have both thrown their support behind Masters, in addition to Cawthorn.

Furthermore, Trump attended a fundraiser for Masters late last year, a possible indicator of who he might endorse in the crowded Republican primary.

“Congressman Cawthorn is a rising star in the Republican Party, and will be a nightmare for the progressive left for many years to come. He is inspiring an entire generation of young Americans to get involved, and he does that with humor and honesty, not by apologizing for his conservative views. I’m honored to have received his endorsement,” Masters added.

Previously, the Tucson native worked for Peter Thiel, who is supporting the campaign with a $10 million donation to a pro-Masters super PAC.

In the primary, he is facing Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, businessman Jim Lamon, and retired Adjutant General of the Arizona National Guard Michael McGuire.
