Tennessee School Trains Staff on White Christian Privilege, Says People of Color, LGBT Are Oppressed

by Madeleine Hubbard

A Tennessee school district offered voluntary Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training for staff that included a section about how people who are white, male, cisgender, heterosexual or Christian are considered privileged while people of color and those who are nonbinary, polyamorous or pagan are oppressed.

The parental rights group Parents Defending Education obtained a presentation, published Monday by Fox News Digital, from the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System through a public records request.

The presentation from the district’s July 19 ENGAGE conference was titled, “The World Needs More Purple People,” and it promoted using Diversity, Equity and Inclusion to connect with students.

A “privilege” and “oppression” chart is included in the slideshow. It states that “Privilege Status” is associated with the labels “white,” “able-bodied,” “men, cisgender,” “heterosexual,” “Christian,” and “middle class.”

Meanwhile, the presentation states that “Oppression Status” is associated with the labels “person of color,” physical, cognitive and mental health disability, “women, grand, nonbinary, genderqueer,” “LGBQ+, polyamorous, asexual, aromantic,” “Muslim, Eastern, Pagan, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist,” and “working class.”

The presentation also included a section titled, “Trauma from language,” which stated: “Topics can be triggering,” such as saying things to students like “Make this for your mommy.”

Staff were also advised to not use the word “should,” in phrases like “You aren’t in kindergarten, you should know…,” according to the slideshow. It also said that the phrase “‘I don’t see color’ is the same as saying ‘I don’t see you.'”

A spokesperson for the school told Fox that the lecture was not mandatory and the district is in compliance with state law.

“Since this presentation was developed independently by educators and not developed or delivered by the District, I do not have any additional information on the presentation,” the spokesperson also said.

I wish the rast coast would STAY itself over on the east coast! I’d rather state more preferably that I wish it’d stay out of America altogether, however it’s very apparently just an inevitability in tbe BIG cities: NY, CA, AZ, IL, etc., sadly enough.

But TN now?! C’mon, man! Descriptions “woke” & “liberal” are things TN should never be.

This is just obscene at this point! Shame on them.

Thats Bull Shit. What ever happened to this “Judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character.”— Martin Luther King Jr. nothing is about color belief or sexual preference. Quit preaching ” because I am black or anything other than being a White Christian Male, I am automatically a victim just by virtue of how I was born. All of that is bullshit because the school educators preaching it do not fall within that demographic of victims. They took advantage of an opportunity to gain an education and are working. They are not victims and since they are not how can they teach something that they cannot relate to. If every one of color is a disenfranchised victim, how do you account for very successful notable people who also happen to be black. Lenny Kravitz, Morgan Freeman, President Obama, Condoleezza Rice, Collin Powell, Justice Clarence Thomas, All people at the pinnacle of success and guess what they are black. they are not victimized by the color of their skin. They all succeeded by the content of their character. So once again I will call the teachings at this school district Bullshit and condemnable as promoting despair and excuses for failure instead of Work Hard and work Harder than anyone else to excel not lament that because someone else got promoted instead of you it must have been just because they are white. Fine blame it on that instead of examining yourself and growing your own Caracter. Go ahead and just live like the victim you then believe yourself to be See how that works out for you.

This is a bunch of propaganda, those groups are advancing as fast as any other group, just turn on TV, hardly any whites. These people just want division between different groups, evil does exist and things like this shows us how truly some people want our country divided. This is true racism.
