DHS Codifies DACA as a Federal Regulation

Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has taken a major step to solidify its support of the widely unpopular amnesty program Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), codifying the policy as a federal regulation that enables new protections for the program.

According to the Daily Wire, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas released a statement announcing the department’s decision to create a new rule that placed DACA into the federal register.

“Today, we are taking another step to do everything in our power to preserve and fortify DACA, an extraordinary program that has transformed the lives of so many Dreamers,” said Mayorkas in the press release.

“Thanks to DACA, we have been enriched by young people who contribute so much to our communities and our country,” Mayorkas falsely claimed. “Yet, we need Congress to pass legislation that provides an enduring solution for the young Dreamers who have known no country other than the United States as their own.”

“DACA has transformed the lives of its recipients and has made us better and stronger as a nation,” said Ur M. Jaddou, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director, without providing any evidence to back up his claim. “USCIS is proud to play an important role in implementing the DACA final rule and is committed to ensuring DACA recipients can continue to remain a vital part of their communities and contribute to this country that is their home.”

Although the final rule is set to take effect on October 31st, DACA is still prevented from going fully into effect due to an ongoing legal challenge from the Southern District of Texas, after Judge Andrew Hanen issued an injunction against the program in July of 2021.

“D.H.S. failed to engage in the statutorily mandated process, so DACA never gained status as a legally binding policy that could impose duties or obligations,” Judge Hanen wrote in his ruling last year. A hearing was held with the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in July of this year regarding the case, and the court is expected to issue its own ruling on the case later this year.

DACA has notoriously been unconstitutional from its inception. The program, aimed at giving mass amnesty to illegal aliens who arrived in the United States as minors, originated as a failed bill in the United States Congress during the Obama Administration, known as the DREAM Act. When the bill ultimately failed to pass into law, then-President Barack Obama decided to instead enact the bill as an executive order, illegally circumventing Congress and usurping the long-standing system of checks and balances between the legislative and executive branches.

Geez, that’s just so wonderful Mayorkas the Dorkas.. Meanwhile, the working class of Americans is swirling around the drain. But that’s okay, just as long as illegal ALIEN dreamers are swaddled by taxpayer funded perks and niceties.
