Katie Hobbs Sat on Board of Radical Far-Left, Soros-Funded Leadership Group

Disclosure forms submitted by Arizona Secretary of State and gubernatorial candidate Katie Hobbs (D) show that she sat on the board of a far-left leadership group at least until 2015, when she was a state senator.

Arizona Leading for Change is a progressive group that has compared police to Nazis during the Holocaust, and suggested that police officers are “white supremacists.”

In a Facebook post in the wake of the George Floyd shooting in 2020, the group said the following:

Leading For Change (LFC) stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters across the country demanding justice for Black lives. As an organization committed to advancing social, racial, and economic justice for all, we share in the pain and long-time suffering of black and brown communities resulting from our country’s deeply rooted structural racism.

As we’ve been reminded over the past 10 days, hate wins when good people give up. It takes time, perseverance, and struggle to drive meaningful change. We believe that every one of us has a hand in this work – through our votes, our advocacy, policy change, and our voices. We must insist on equity across the board – from health and education, to criminal justice, affordable housing, equal pay and so much more. We must continue to speak truth to power and hold the public and private sectors accountable to break down the systems that oppress, harm and deprive people of justice and liberty.

In the names of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Sean Reed, Tony McDade, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Michael Krol, Brent Thompson, Patrick Zamarripa, Lorne Ahrens, Michael Smith, Trayvon Martin, Akai Gurley, Eric Garner, Terence Crutcher, Tamir Rice, Michael Brown, Freddie Gray, Rekia Boyd, Antonio Martin, Walter Scott, Jamar Clark, Aiyana Jones, Korryn Gaines, Sandra Bland, Dion Johnson and the many who came and died before them because of racism and injustice, our choice is clear. After centuries of this struggle and generational trauma forced upon our Black brothers and sisters, NOW IS THE TIME to dismantle the thinking and systems that perpetuate institutionalized racism.

In the words of Elie Wiesel, “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentors, never the tormented.”

No longer can we allow for Black men and women of all ages to lose their lives at the hands of police brutality and white supremacist violence. A just America is struggling to be born and together, by taking a stand, we can end the unjust suffering that has infiltrated and poisoned our country for centuries.

Elie Wiesel was a Holocaust victim and author of the bestseller Night.

On its “supporters” page, the group also boasts a donation from the Tides Foundation, a charity group run by Hungarian billionaire George Soros, who has donated billions to progressive left-wing causes.

Hobbs’s campaign did not return a Monday comment request.
