Arizona Senate Poll Shows Blake Masters Taking the Lead

A new poll from a super PAC supporting Blake Masters showed the venture capitalist taking the lead in the GOP race for U.S. Senate.

The survey, completed by former President Donald Trump’s former pollster Tony Fabrizio, awarded Masters 22 percent.

His Republican opponents, Attorney General Mark Brnovich and businessman Jim Lamon, stood at 18 percent, within striking distance of Masters.

However, 34 percent of all voters remain undecided in the race, which will take place in August.

The poll spoke to 800 likely voters in the Republican primary.

“We found that Blake Masters is quite popular with RPV [Republican primary voters] in as far as he is known and continues to lead in the GOP primary for U.S. Senate, buoyed by those who are aware of recent ads about him, underlying the efficacy of pro-Masters communications being delivered to the RPV electorate,” pollsters Fabrizio, David Lee, and Travis Tunis wrote in the polling memo sent to Breitbart News.

Brnovich, who started as the frontrunner in the competition, has slipped in the rankings.

In recent months, Trump has blasted the Arizona official and pledged to endorse someone else.

“He wants to be politically correct. Because of the amount of time that it took him to do the report, which was endless, his poll numbers have been rapidly sinking. Now, people are upset with the fact that while he states the problem, he seems to be doing nothing about it – he doesn’t give the answers,” the former president wrote.

“The good news is Arizona has some very good people running for election to the U.S. Senate. I will be making an Endorsement in the not too distant future!”

Some signs have pointed to Trump endorsing Masters. He attended a fundraiser and phoned in to an event for the candidate.
